These changes are due to a fire at a recycling centre. It is hoped that normal service will resume in about 6 weeks’ time

  • Update re dualling of A47

The contractors for the dualling works have announced that next week they hope to divert traffic on to part of the new carriageway. Work can then be done to upgrade the current carriageway, which will become an access road for local traffic and farm vehicles. By mid May they hope to open the flyover between the B1140 north and south. The works are programmed to finish in the summer, except for the tree planting, which will be done in the Autumn.

  • Roadworks postponed until Summer

    Dear All ,

I am writing to inform you that the scheme to resurface South Walsham Road and various other roads in Acle has been deferred to the next financial year 2026/27. The works are now intended to be carried out during daytime hours over the next summer holidays.

This decision has been made due to ongoing emergency works being undertaken by Anglian Water on B1140 Panxworth Road, which lies within our planned diversion route; this reduced our delivery window, preventing us from carrying out the planned works. As these works are outside of our control and significantly impact our traffic management, it is not feasible to proceed as originally scheduled.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this delay may cause and appreciate that changes to timelines can be disruptive. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works are reprogrammed. We will provide updates on the dates and times of the works closer to the scheduled period.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards

It’s a way to access extra services and support through a GP, nurse or health care professional, to improve your health and wellbeing.

Community Connectors can help you to:

    • be part of your community
    • have positive relationships
    • gain skills and feel confident
    • have a warm and safe home
    • be free from money worries

Community Connectors can also put you in touch with activities and groups in your area, or support you to start your own project, group or event.

Social prescribing can lead to many positive outcomes, including:
